Since the search for Mars’ cupcakes began, I have stumbled across a great many dessert-type recipes I want to try my hand at. I have the Kitchenaid stand mixer that has only really been given a work out making ice cream for Iron Chef challenges, and I know it’s capable of so much more!

Here’s a couple of contenders:

Freezable Lemon Bars over at Pennies on a Platter; I am a huge Key Lime pie fan, so I’m thinking a small substitution is in order here.

Chocolate Pretzels at The Suitcase Chef; ummm, yeah…there’s beer in these. SOLD!

Banana Cake by evil chef mom; I ♥ this blog! She’s funny, sarcastic and wonderful

I’m pretty sure I blasted this piece of ingeniousness onto facebook the minute I saw it, but Thursday Night Smackdown‘s Pancake Ice Cream with Bacon Candy will be attempted at some point!
