I wish I taken pictures of last night’s dinner; these burgers were bee-yoo-ti-full!!

It was my first batch with the new brand of organic, grass-fed beef we found at Winn-Dixie, Prairie Organic. The meat was fantastically flavourful, and only required a light seasoning of salt and fresh ground black pepper; that’s it! I was amazed and delighted! With a coupon (always available on their website, if not at the store) it’s only 4.99/lb; pretty damn reasonable for organic, grass-fed ground beef! :)

I had no sliced cheese, so I shaped the ground beef into 4 flatter than usual patties and put the grated sharp cheddar on the top of two of them, then placed the other two on top of each, squishing the edges together to surround the cheese; essentially making them into stuffed burgers! They went on the grill for 5 minutes each side and came out a perfect medium rare; placed on a french burger bun topped with some romaine lettuce, caramelised onions, beetroot slices and voila! A delicious, quick, Monday night dinner.

They kinda looked like these ones we ate in Australia (Bateman’s Bay to be exact), but smaller!
