I’m very interested in growing my own edibles, thought you’d like a peek into the (slow) progress my garden is making!

Cuban oregano – still researching exactly what I should do with this…It’s so pretty though! It’s kind of succulent-esque. I read somewhere it can be used as a substitute for sage, and tastes like a blend of thyme and rosemary.

Maybe Ty Mendez can help me out with some Cuban ideas for it?

Two types of rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) not sure what varieties, but they are different to the one in our front yard; Thyme and Cuban Oregano.

Lime tree – finally bearing decent fruit after 2 years of Brent lovingly bringing it back from the dead. I know he only did it so he’d have fresh lime for his cocktails, but I love him for doing it anyway!

We planted a Hass Avocado seed in the planter, just because we were told that we wouldn’t be able to grow Hass in Florida. Wrong, bucko! :) Maybe it’s because Brent put Fred next to the teeny baby plant to watch over it? :)
